1921 black and white photograph of a few men standing near the north entrance of the Woodstock Square Park, Woodstock, Illinois after a snowstorm. Nearby are parked horses and wagons.  In the park can be seen mature wlm trees and a bandstand.  In the background are three story brick buildings.

Description

Four men stand in front of the entrance to the Square Park at Main Street in the snow storm on April 16, 1921. Horses and wagons are parked on either edge of the photo. The stone pillars with globe type lights flank the entrance. The Civil War Soldier monument is in the center. The bandstand, canon, Opera House and even Central School can be clearly seen. The Buildings on Van Buren are visible in the background with a partial view of the Bunker Brothers sign. One of the last frame buildings is at 129 E. Van Buren along with the brick Blacksmith's building razed make room for the Opera House Annex.
