Opera House and Van Buren 1909
Title
Opera House and Van Buren 1909
Description
Dark and blurred photo from a postcard titled "Van Buren St., South Side of Square, Woodstock, Ill."
Uncle Tom's Cabin poster with date Mar 31, Wednesday. This combination of date and day occurred in 1897, 1909, and 1915, but Good Friday fell on this date in 1915, eliminating that possibility. J. S. Andrews advertised his groceries in the Woodstock Republican between 1907 and 1911 and on December 30, 1908 his ad said, "We moved to the C.F. Gaulke & Sons Meat Market." An article on Gaulke praised his good business skills at his corner stand.
