Title
Excelsior Market on Benton Street, circa 1883
Description
110 N. Benton: Exclesior Market and part of the G. F. Stone Drug Store [112 N. Benton] also known as the Old Reliable Drug Store.
Woman seated in a buggy driving a horse and three men & a boy look on. The dirt street is lower than the sidewalk and the support material is visible.
Dated between 1873 (year after the fire) and 1884.
The horse's head moved during the long exposure photograph so that the words Books & Stationery are readable.
Awnings appear to be the same as in the "Great Snowstorm of March 12, 1881" photo.
Buildings and details are the same as the Baseball Team 1884 photo (presuming the 1884 date on the photo is correct).
