Edgetown Motors automobile dealership was located at the intersection of Route 14 (now Lake Avenue) and Route 47. The signs outside and inside are all for Hudson automobiles. Edgetown became a Studebaker dealer around 1950. Note the great neon signs.
The side view photo shows gas pumps and an unidentified car.
The interior "Hudson Jet" photo was taken around 1953 since that model was only available in 1953 and 1954. The men in the photo L-R: Bob Mather, Ralph Kearney, four obscured faces, Dixie O'Hara, Paul Knuth, Al Klemme, Dave Joslyn, Doc. L. L. Metcalf. The Autolite logo on the back wall would seem to indicate that there were Autolite products (chrome) on the Hudson Jet.
The building was demolished in 1994.
The dealership was half-owned by Ralph Kearney and a book by his son is in the Local History Collection.
