Duffy's fire 1992
Title
Duffy's fire 1992
Description
Duffy's Tavern caught fire the evening of May 22, 1992, near the end of the filming of Groundhog Day. Duffy's address was on Benton St but this is taken on Main St.
This photo was taken after the fire was struck. Firemen are still on the scene. The hoses are on the street and the McHenry Township Fire District hook and ladder truck is still on Main Street. This could possibly be a business photo--Jim Keefe was a Country Companies Agent. His business info is stamped on the back.
The signs and awning for DeWane's Photo Studio are visible.
