Band members are arranged in front of the Woodstock High School in the band uniforms and instruments. Although the drum says high school, some of the students are obviously much younger.
Clarence Olson was Supervisor of Instrumental Music Instruction. He is standing on the far right in the third row wearing a black jacket and black hat. He created the music program for both the high school and the grade school in 1929. He was very popular with Woodstock citizens so that when he died suddenly in December 1953, the community lobbied to name the school under construction Clarence Olson School
