Demolition of the Woodstock Die Cast Smokestack - Peasley 1997

Woodstock Manufacturing Corporation of Michigan bought Woodstock Die Casting from Allied Signal Corporation in 1985. After several years of decline, the factory closed on June 29, 1990, resulting in the loss of 757 jobs. The City of Woodstock was deeded the property in 1991 and in 1997 the buildings were demolished in anticipation of redevelopment.
As of 2026, the property is still vacant.
