Woodstock, IL Square Park
Title
Woodstock, IL Square Park
Description
Several groups of people are seen the Square park, some on benches and some under the Spring House. The original fountain is in the center with the buildings on Benton Street in the background. The stately elm trees dominate the scene.
The fountain is in the location of today's soldier's monument.
Since Wm. G. Hoffman traveled from Chicago to take this photo, it is likely that the people in the photo are not staged but are really enjoying the park. He was in business from 1908 to 1924. One of the two copies of the postcard is postmarked 1908 and the other 1910.
